Tri-Star Industries Pte Ltd, is the first licensed manufacturer of NanoGalv® by Modumetal, and the preferred supplier of NanoGalv® coated fasteners in Asia and Australia. Modumetal and Tri-Star have been working closely with major industrial partners and standards organizations to test, field trial and qualify its nanolaminated alloys for structural, corrosion and wear applications in industrial sector markets.
NanoGalv is a commercially-available nanolaminated metallic alloy applied to carbon steel substrates such as standard fasteners, washers, and connectors. It has demonstrated a 10x corrosion resistant performance when compared to traditional coating systems such as cadmium, hot dipped galvanize, epoxy and PTFE coatings. The unique nanolaminate structure imparts substantial performance improvements in: corrosion resistance, hydrogen-embrittlement resistance, lubricity, stress relief and wear resistance.
Today, NanoGalv® has been broadly specified for corrosion protection of bolts and fasteners in sectors spanning oil and gas, construction, marine, infrastructure and other industries that need a better solution for their products.
NanoGalv Field History
NanoGalv® has been 3rd Party tested and field trialed in offshore platforms around the world since 20XX. Since this time, the technology has been specified and adopted by many of global energy producers and EPC’s. While it had its beginnings in the offshore upstream O&G markets, NanoGalv has been used in onshore facilities such as pipelines, refineries, petrochemicals, and LNG facilities.
NanoGalv has substantial coating performance improvements in corrosion resistance, hydrogen embrittlement resistance, lubricity, stress relief and wear resistance.

The Nanolayering Advantage
Nanolaminated alloys – think metallic plywood – comprised of layers that are nanometers in thickness. While derived from the same basic raw materials as conventional metals, nanolaminated alloys can be used virtually anywhere conventional metals and alloys are used today, but they provide significant performance improvements over conventional metals, including: superior strength, toughness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, thermal properties, fatigue performance and much more.
